This article reminded me to do an exercise I used to do very often but haven’t done recently.
- Sit down in a quiet place and list out all of the things that are bothering you (with a red pen)
- Then make a list of all the things you are trying to accomplish — your biggest goals that you are working on (with a blue pen)
- Finally, with the red pen, underneath each of the goals, list out all the negative/scary things you’ll have to deal with if you do achieve those goals in a way beyond your wildest dreams.
All of the stuff in red are the things you’re harboring in your subconscious, the things that you have inherently put into play to stop you from accomplishing your goals.
All of the things that you have in red are your fears.
As soon as you come to terms with the things in red, is when you’ll truly be able to accomplish your big lofty goals.
